Wild Arts Camp

Wild Arts Camp

Join us at The Liberi School for Wild Arts Camp. We will focus on two flowering plants, the dandelion and the violet, which grow wild almost everywhere children walk!

Through a deep study of the dandelion and the violet and building a meaningful relationship with them, children will begin to understand the whole of the natural world in a new light. Beginning with close observation, we will explore the folklore, history, art, botany, and science of those plants. Children will forage outdoors, engage in hands-on making activities and movement pieces. Each child will create a book with drawings, paintings, pressings, recipes, stories, poems, and plant identification notes. We will also make tinctures, beverages, healing balms, and cook with the plants. Our study will culminate in a celebration inspired by the plants—our newfound flowering friends.

Nicole LoBue is a chef, herbalist, and educator. She credits growing up in a Sicilian family, and their relationship to food, for her own love and passion for food as medicine. She grew up full of mulberries, wild dandelion leaves and onion. This love and passion informs and permeates her practice across fields: over the past twenty years, Nicole's work has linked food, wellness, service and education in various collaborations, organizations, and in her own private practice. Paul Green Rock Academy Open House

We are thrilled to announce that the Paul Green Rock Academy is coming to Hudson! Paul Green (legendary founder of the original School of Rock) is opening up a second location of the Paul Green Rock Academy (www.rockacademy.com), an incredible performance-based music school for kids ages 8-18, at Liberi this fall. We have spoken to countless families who told us how this music program changed their children's lives. They learn music but more importantly are given confidence that cannot be taken away. Don’t miss the opportunity to work with music legend Paul Green, who will be directing the first season’s show “Tribute to Pink Floyd: The Wall". His amazing afterschool music program is open to the public.

Come and check it out the Open House on Saturday, September 24, 2pm-5pm at The Liberi School, 3521 Route 9, Hudson, just outside of town. There will be sample lessons, a showband, and more. Please spread the word to all families with kids ages 8-18 who like to rock!!!
